It is the philosophy of founder and President, Patrick R. Slater,  that a company is only as good as it's people; therefore, only quality people are invited to work at Heritage Construction. 

Every person on the Heritage team is a positive personality.  Their collective talents are second to none, as is evidenced on the Construction and Custom Casework pages of this site.

Now, meet the Heritage staff!

Founder and President, Patrick R. Slater, is a 1970 graduate of Indiana University.  He is a Master Carpenter and Master Cabinetmaker.  He personally designs most of the custom casework and remodeling projects that Heritage undertakes.  He is a "hands-on" manager who is involved in every aspect of the daily construction process. Unable to accept a quality level less than excellent, his standard work day is 12 hours.

Greg S. a Project Supervisor whose construction talents are superior. He is exceptionally focused and dedicated to quality. His contributions to the success of Heritage are second to none. Friendly and personable, he is the subject of many customer compliments. Educated and experienced, Greg executes the most demanding Heritage projects without hesitation and without flaw.

Larry C. is the Painting Supervisor. Larry's patient disposition and dedicated approach, combined with exceptional talent, are the ingredients that create old-world quality paint jobs on all Heritage projects.  Larry is also a talented drywall finisher and a refined trim carpenter.

Brad D. is a Journeyman Supervisor who is exceptionally skilled and capable.  Outgoing and personable, Brad approaches every task with dedication to excellence and concentrates on producing professional results.


A superior journeyman painter and drywall finisher, Mathew is gregarious and dedicated.  He is never willing to accept less than the best that can be achieved on a given project.  Mathew grew up in the construction business and is skilled in many areas beyond his chosen field.  And, as such, he is a valued asset to the Heritage team.

Pleasant and positive in demeanor, A.J. is a talented Journeyman Framing Carpenter with an exceptional knack for related fields of woodworking.  A self-starter and team player, A.J. is focused on quality and takes pride in his work.

Gifted with an innate ability to learn construction related tasks, Matt F. has achieved skills in drywall finishing, painting and carpentry well beyond his years of experience.  Matt produces professional quality work the first time, every time.    On the job, Matt's attention to detail is outstanding.
